TFT Set 9.5 NA Runeterra Reforged Regional Finals standings

Four out of 24 competed for a Worlds seed.

The North American Teamfight Tactics Regional Finals kicked off on Oct. 27 with 24 of the best players in the NA region seeking four direct invites to the Runeterra Reforged World Championship

Featuring TFT players who performed well throughout Set Nine and 9.5, the NA Regional Finals was a big deal for the North American region. For the first time in TFT history, NA won the TFT Set Eight World Championship, and the 24 players at the Regional Finals all wanted a shot to win Worlds again. The NA Regional Finals ran from Oct. 27 to 29, with a total of four out of the 24 players earning a direct invite to the Runeterra Reforged World Championship

Day one of the TFT North American Finals featured six games played with lobbies reseeded every two rounds. Only the top-scoring 16 players advanced to day two. 

C9 k3soju kicked off the tournament with a win in lobby C, along with Torontotokyo and Connerisme. Players like TL Kurumx, Dishsoap, DQA, and setsuko also showed out during game one.

After three games played, it was Torontotokyo atop the leaderboard with 21 points, having earned his way into the NA Regional Finals through the North American Last Chance Qualifiers the weekend prior. Close behind him was Wasianiverson at 20 points and three players—k3soju, Milk, and setsuko—tied at 19 points.

Day one ended with several veteran NA TFT players missing the top 16 cut. Players like Souless, Robinsongz, Prestivent, and Guubums were eliminated from the NA Regional Finals on day one. Sitting atop the leaderboard after six games was Wasianiverson with 38 points, followed by Torontotokyo with 36 points. And sitting in third was DQA with 34 points.

Oct. 28 NA Regional Finals standings

Day two of the TFT Runeterra Reforged North American Regional Finals started off with lobby wins from Wasianiverson and DPEI. And after two games it was Torontotokyo, Connerisme, and Darth Nub at the top of the leaderboard, tied at 13 points.

With two games out of the six total games left to play, Wasianiverson was back on top in a tie with Torontotokyo at 25 points. Close on their heels was last Set’s TFT Worlds champion at 23 points, while Tleyds and k3soju were tied at 22 points. Sitting on the bubble were players like Milk, Casparwu, DPEI, setsuko, and Davidas.

Veterans like Casparwu, setsuko, Dishsoap, and TL Kurumx were unable to make the top eight cut after six games played during day two. Finishing on top of the leaderboard was Torontotokyo with 41 points, followed by Wasianiverson with 29 points, TL Rereplay with 32 points, and k3soju at 32 points. Also advancing to the playoffs was Milk, Darth Nub, Tleyds, Connerisme.

Oct. 29 NA Regional Finals standings

The final eight players remaining battled for TFT Worlds slots on the last day of the NA Regional Finals tournament. Players were seeking a placement in the top three to earn a direct invite to the Runeterra Reforged World Championship, while the fourth seed was awarded to the player with the best placement average through the NA Regional Finals.

K3soju, playing Ionia/Vanquisher, won the first lobby of the day. Milk finished eighth after a failed loss-streak strategy attempt. Wasianiverson claimed a lobby win during game two, advancing into the top three of the leaderboard where k3soju maintained a top spot. Tied with Wasianiverson after two games was Darth Nub and Tleyds, at 11 points.

Milk showed off his TFT skills as a veteran and face of the auto battler in game three, winning the lobby while advancing into the top three of the overall standings. Darth Nub earned his first lobby win during game four, advancing up the leaderboard to the top. And as of game four, Wasianiverson had secured a World seed, whether through a top three placement or best overall performance at the NA Regional Finals.

The day three action heated up through game five, with the defending World champion Rereplay finishing fifth while Tleyds earned his lobby win of the day, advancing to second on the leaderboard with 27 points.

Wasianiverson dominated the NA Regional Finals, putting all Worlds players on notice, winning the tournament while also having the best average placement overall. Since he couldn’t win both, the average placement went to Torontotokyo. Connerisme won game six to finish second overall, and Tleyds was still able to secure a third despite going seventh during game six.
